Is rasta relegion same as our relegion [ god - holy bible] i believe so please give me your point aview?

i would love to hear your point a view how ever is going to answer this... plz do i believe in god, but..........

1No it is not the same. Rasta emerged in Jamaica in the 1930's, and believe Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia to be the messiah and part of the Holy Trinity, not Jesus. In fact, they believe Selassie to be both the Father and Son of God, while they themselves are the embodiment of the Holy Spirit. They believe in the sacred use of ganja, naturalism (living close to nature), and that some of them can actually attain physical immortality.

Many of them observe dietry laws according to the Old Testament, and do not believe in touching alcohol. The Rasta religion is also for blacks only, the rasta has an afrocentric world view, and they aim to remind blacks of their heritage and free them from their "Babylon" (anything that oppresses them). Their dreadlocks are to differentiate themselves from the straighter hair of the white people.

So even from this surface info of rasta, you can see it is not at like Christianity, even though their faith is based on the Bible as well.

yes it is the same. the only differences with rasta is that we realise that not everything the catholic church and different government powers throughout history, have told us is true. there are many things to do with black history which has been 'lost' both from history and religion. rastas read the holy book page to page as any other good christian should, and make up their own minds about the truth without being told what is the 'truth' by people who are a part of a system built on corruption.

it is almost the same.. for the reasons that they believe in god a heaven which in their case is ethiopia and you do not need to be black to be rastafarian its open to all races

rastafari is for all mankind as we all originate from africa. live by natures rules not the systems, be pure in your thoughts, be clean, refrain from using chemicals, eating meat and shellfish, don't use oils and salts. be pure in all you do, love you fellow man, follow rasta livity and live closer to god.

you must konw first yhe conept of god so you will not misunderstand ,when they say :jah rasta fari or that haile is god... all rellegions came from our black ansesters the difrance is i think ,that christans use the byble that king james gave tham and his translation and his understanding (no offense) and the rasta use the real byble and the real undersanding , it's not about not steeling or do not kill,do not lie , it goes much deeper bless
